Tips for General Device Issues

Modified on Tue, 26 Nov, 2024 at 10:16 AM

We understand how frustrating technical challenges can be, and our team is here to help! Before reaching out for support, we recommend trying the following steps, which often resolve common issues related to device settings:

1. Restart Your Device

A simple reboot can refresh your device's performance and clear up temporary glitches.

2. Check Your Internet Connection

Ensure you're connected to a stable Wi-Fi or mobile network. Slow or interrupted connections can cause apps or websites to misbehave.

3. Update Your Software

  • Device OS: Make sure your phone, tablet, or computer is running the latest operating system.
  • Apps: Check if the Expand App and your browser are updated to their latest versions.

4. Clear Cache and Cookies

For browsers: Clear the cache and cookies to remove outdated or corrupted files.
For apps: In your device settings, clear the app’s cache or storage (if available).

5. Free Up Space

Low storage can prevent apps from functioning correctly. Delete unnecessary files or apps to ensure your device has adequate space.

6. Adjust Permissions and Settings

Verify that the Expand App or Online Store has the required permissions (e.g., location, storage, or notifications). Additionally, ensure your browser or app settings are not overly restrictive.

7. Check Device Compatibility

The Expand App and Online Store work best on devices meeting minimum system requirements. Older devices or unsupported browsers may have difficulty running them smoothly.

8. Test on a Different Device

If possible, try accessing the app or store on another device. This can help identify if the issue is device-specific.
